Description
The BF Goodrich g-Grip tire, new in 2009, replaced the Profiler2, was developed for a wide range of passenger cars.
The BF Goodrich g-Grip has an improved balance of dry and wet performance and a unique design. The directional tread pattern with a large number of drainage channels creates a breakwater effect to drain the maximum amount of water in aquaplaning conditions. In the design of the tread pattern, due to the special shape of the channels, a “funnel” effect is created, which makes it possible to increase the rate of water drainage from the contact patch. The new tire also features self-locking siping technology to maintain block rigidity. Massive shoulder blocks and center rib provide immediate response in any situation and superior steering control. Small sipes along the center channels, located in the direction of travel, increase the stability of each tread block, which makes braking more efficient. The new BFGoodrich g-Grip tire is not only perfectly balanced for various operating conditions, but also has a unique design in the form of flames on the sidewalls.
