The new Multihawk replaces the F590FS, which comes as OE for hatchbacks and small family cars including Volkswagen Polo, Fiat’s Punto and Stilo, Skoda Fabia.
Firestone said the new Multihawk tires offer “better roadholding and handling” than its predecessor. Particular attention has been paid to the tire’s wet behavior. The Multihawk has a large contact patch and rounded tread blocks for improved water drainage.
In Firestone tests, the Multihawk showed a shorter stopping distance than its predecessor. The same tests have shown that these tires can be put on a par with “other leading tire manufacturers” in terms of control.
The Multihawk significantly improves wear resistance by increasing the rigidity of the center blocks. In tests, the Firestone Multihawk proved to be a leader in its class.
